Women Empowering Women: Got Your Six

Every month I will be featuring a post called “Women Empowering Women”. Whether it is a charity or a woman owned business or an inspiring story, I will be sharing with you all some bad ass ladies who are making a difference in this world.

“Got Your Six”

In the spirit of the Fourth of July holiday and our love for this beautiful country, I am honored to share with you the “Got Your Six” campaign created by two Army veteran women; Reinalyn and Angela for the fitness apparel brand, Inspiration. Fit. “Got Your Six” is a common phrase used in the military and in law enforcement which simply means, “I have your back.”  Being a military spouse, the “Got Your Six” campaign is something so near and dear to my heart. We as a nation are all so thankful for all the sacrifices the men and women of the armed forces have made for us in the past, present, and future. As a military spouse it is easy for me to get behind veteran supporting causes but when I have asked my husband and other vets about what means the most to them when they return home from war, they have often said “it is knowing that the country supports us.”  Our support, that is all they ask for…

I can’t think of a better way to support our vets than to let them know that we as a nation “Got Your Six” !

In collaboration with Inspiration.Fit, Reinalyn and Angela have designed “Got Your Six” apparel to show support to our veterans as well as a community empowerment movement of just saying “Hey, I’m with you and we are in this together!” I just love that this phrase is so versatile! The best part (besides the beautiful apparel) is that the Net-Profit from the sale of the “Got Your Six” apparel will go to a Veteran based charity that Reinalyn and Angela will both choose!!

The fundraiser runs from now until July 4th so hurry on over to inspiration.fit  and get your “Got Your Six” apparel today!!
